Thank U, Next Quarter

This quarter there were really not enough time to study . Students and teachers were busy and we will have a long christmas break and it is almost a month of vacation so the time is not enough. In this case, almost all of our teachers told us to have a self-study so that when they discuss topics we already have a background to the topic that makes it easier for us to understand the topic. After the Christmas break, we will continue our classes and we only have 3 days 'til our exams.             In our ICT class, we have learned about web page and its parts. We also made our own web page! But we have ups and downs in life, because I struggled with making it. I didn't quite understand how to save it properly so I needed the help of my seatmate and I did it. So that was a relief because I literally had a breakdown about it. Challenges are part of learning so, next time I have to be cool with it and not have a breakdown.             Moving on, I hope that I will lear

Birth of Jesus

In the Philippines, when September comes you can already feel the spirit of Christmas. You can already see Christmas lights around you, you can already hear Jose Marie Chan Christmas songs that are played at almost every establishments. Also, some people may have already put up their Christmas trees.       Fast forward to December, you will see kids caroling from houses to houses. We also have this thing called Misa de Gallo, in this you have to sacrifice taking a bath in a cold water at dawn and go to church and listen to God's words. You can also see vendors selling kakanin like puto bumbong and bibingka or in our province,Abra,we eat miki. The food will be a perfect match to the cold breeze of December.       On the Christmas Eve, we will have family gatherings and you will eat Noche Buena together, play games, and give gifts.       Let's also not forget that Christmas is the birsth of our Saviour, Jesus. It's just not about giving gifts of the C

Stop The Violence to Everyone

In this world that we live in women are most likely the victimes of physical, mental, verbal,or sexual abuse. It is because sometimes women can't fight back and are considered to be weak. Most of the times women experience violence from their partners. According to World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violemce or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. Based on the preliminary findings of the 2017 National Demographic Health Survey(NDHS), 1 in every 4 ever-married women aged 15-49 has ever experienced physical, sexual,or emotional abuse/violence by their husband or partner.           Luckily,we already have a law that protects women. It is the RA 9262 known as The Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. It means it does not only protect women but also children. This law is protecting women and children's right. However, this law still didn't stop the ab

The Betterment of Our Environment is in Our Hands

Environmental Awareness Month is November because of the Republic Act No. 9512. The law talks about the role of natural resources in economic growth and the importance of environmental conservation and it shall be done through environmental education. Department of Environment and Natural Resources(DENR) also promoted that November will also be the "Clean Air Month". DENR lined up activities for both of the said celebration. The Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources Ramon J.P. Paje said that the activities for the nationwide celebration will "ensure that the seed of environmentalism will be planted and nurtured and become a way of life for the most,if not all, Filipinos."            Everyone is aware that our environment is dying day by day. We are now experiencing climate change, drought, melting of the glaciers, and a lot more. There is no one to blame here but us, humans, God gave us this beautiful planet for us to make it better not to de

The Country's Future is on the Children's Hand

The 27th celebration of Children's Month was held during the month of November. The main reason that DepEd took part in celbrating this is to also acknowledge the rights of children and also because of the students, to celebrate the success and protect children. It also intensify out public awareness and the society to know that a child can become well developed. It is also in connection to R.A. No. 10661.             All children have rights. We just to somehow let society acknowledge our rights because sometimes they forget that we are also like them. I think this celebration will let people know that we are also human like them because society sometimes think that we are just some robots that will follow what they want us to do. Until sometime when you become successful they will praise you but in the process they were insulting and pressuring you. They have to remember that they were once a child too.              This also applies to what Dr. Jose Rizal said, &qu

Values Month Celebration 2019:" Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin Susi sa Paghubog ng Kabataang MakaDiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa"

Every year we celebrate Values Month and the Values Month Celebration usually starts on November. This year's theme is "Pamilyang Pilipino Patatagin Susi sa Paghubog ng Kabataang Makadiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, at Makabansa." It means that we should always strengthen our family because it is the key to become godly, humane, nature loving and patriotic. It says that family is the foundation for us to become better. The makaDiyos, makatao, makakalikasan, and makabansa is the four core values of our country, it also the last four words in our "Oath of Allegiance " of the Philippines or the "Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas".It is important to have all these values because it is what makes us to be a Filipino. That's why the Values Month Celebration strengthens not only our core values but also our family because family is where everything starts. It always starts at home.  Of course, it is not a celebration when there are no activit

United Nations Day 2019: "Indigenous Language Matter for Sustainable Development, Peace Building and Reconciliation"0

United Nations was formed after the World War II so that countries will have to settle international problems with UN and not with war. It was originally formed by 51 countries and now it have 193 countries which is almost all the countries in the world.UN is made to maintain peace and security throughout the whole world and developeing the relations of every nation. UN is also made to celebrate diversity and brotherhood of the different countries.           The theme for this year is "Indigenous Language Matter for Sustainable Development, Peace Building and Reconciliation". I noticed that almost all the celebration it feature the importance of indigenous languages. It is because this year of 2019 it is the International Year of Indigenous Languages (IYIL). Some languages are disappearing so United Nations made an action in order to raise awareness. Indigenous language is important because it makes our world's cultural diversity. Language is important fo

Another Phase Passed

We again pass a step towards our dream. In the 1st I said that it was hard to adjust to new teacher and classmates and of course to the new lessons. But this quarter I feel a bit more comfortable to our teacher and classmates. It was a bit easy to adjust to the new lesson because of them.               In this quarter I have gained a lot. In ICT I have learned how HTML works, I have never  thought that I will learn stuffs like this. But I'm thankful that I did because if I didn't........ well I don't know. The HTML Tags was easy and I had a lot of fun doing the activities.            I don't do well in quizzes. Me and my friends have a group study and we review together, it helps, I guess. But I can say that I did well in this quarter.            Moving on, I will still continue to do good in my studies. I hope that I will excel more in the next quarters. Teachers Love

We annually celebrate Teacher's Day. This years theme in the Philippines is " Gurong Pilipino: Handa sa Makabagong Pagbabago." The world teacher day theme is  “Young Teachers: The Future of the Profession,”. We celebrate it during the month of October and the Worlds Teacher's Day is October 5.          In every students success is a teacher. Teacher will always have a part in our lives. They are one of the people who lead us to where we are now. Even though sometimes, some students are naughty they will still understand us and love us unconditionally because teaching is a passion.I will always and forever thank and cherish my teachers since the day my mind is still young. They taught us a lot so we should celebrate their day. We should spend this day thanking them for becoming a part of our success. Even those teachers will remember their students, they may not remember our names anymore but their heart will always know.            This is a day to

A Chance to Show Your Ability in Sports

There are a lot of sporty students. In our school, a lot of students has joined the Intramurals. Intramurals is an event where students can join to show their ability.          In this event, there are various sports you can join in. Just like volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc. In this event you can see the determination of the athletes to win. There will also be students who lose but I hope they never lose hope. There will always be a time for everything, maybe not now, maybe in the near future. I'm not the type of student that is inclined to sports because of my health and my tardiness. But I know how to play chess and other board games it's just that I don't have anyone to play with at home. I hope that someday I will join any sport so that I can be more sporty just like the other students in my school.           There were also booths from the different clubs. Which showed their creativity.            There were also a dance sport and they have

Young Scientists and Improving The Love for Science

The theme for Science Month in this year is "METABOLIZE: Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards National Well-Being". The celebration of Science Month starts every September 2.            There are many activities that is happening in ISNHS. Just like the search for Bb. and G. Kalikasan. One of my classmate has joined and she proudly stands up in front of many people. There is also a candidate from Marconi which is a Science Class Section just like ours. There is also Sci-Trix which you will show any tricks that are related to any branch of Science. Like, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and more. Next to it is an exhibit of Science related models. There is also a Science Quiz. And also, Himig Kalikasan which will happen on Monday.           Conducting this activity every year is helpful for students too. Just like what the theme says. So, I hope at the end of this Science Month all of ISNHS students will love and enjoy Science.           Science is not that hard

First Quarter Experience in ICT

It’s been three months since our first grading has started. Time passes by so fast. The day has come, the day where our parents will meet our grades. Where some will get scolded of their failing grade, some will be praised of their high grades. But someone told me, “It’s not about having high grades, it’s about what you have learned.”                 There are various information that are stored in my brain this quarter. Just like in our ICT 10, I have learned the Father of the Internet, the Software Pioneers, the Internet Protocols and a lot more. There are also different types of blogging.                 At first, I had problems adjusting with the new classmates and new teacher in ICT. I also had problems in memorizing the dates of the History of the Internet and also the different acronyms, THEY ARE SO MANY! We also had reporting which I’m a little bit scared of because I’m a little introverted. Just a little though.                 In adjusting with t

Filipinos Reciliency

Today, we are frequently visited by disasters.   Some people have the ability to move on just after disasters and some people don’t. The National Disaster Resilience Month covers four thematic areas namely: Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Response and Disaster Rehabilitation and Recovery. Resilience literally means, to become successful again after something bad happens. It means being able to recover. We now have the National Disaster Resilience Month, to help people in preparing and recovering after a devastating disaster. However, us Filipinos have a very awful habit which we call the “Mañana Habit”. It is when people set asides works that should be done immediately.   “Mamaya na” which means later, is where “Mañana Habit” got its name. This habit should be taken out of our culture so that we can prevent casualties in future disasters. We should aim for a zero-casualty in every disaster that occurs. Though, we can’t really say that

Be Healthy, Eat Healthy, and Live Healthy

Nutrition Month Celebration is celebrated every year in the month of July in the Philippines. When you are a Filipino you are probably familiar with the activities conducted during this month. Just like nutri-quiz nutri-jingle and many more activities that is related to nutrition.              For me celebrating this is very important because we tackle how important having a healthy life. Just like the nutri-jingle, it is a fun way to encourage every person here in the Philippines to live well. This year’s theme; “Kumain ng wasto at maging Aktibo. Push natin ‘to.” Is about having healthy lifestyle. You should eat at the right time and you should eat what’s healthy and we should be active atleast have 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week. Moderate Aerobic exercise includes activity such as brisk walking and swimming. Encouraging Filipinos to be healthy is really important because many people die because of health-related illness. In this generation, many ki

Better Be Safe Than Sorry

In the past years our country, the Philippines have encountered numerous amount of calamity. One of the frequently occurring calamities in the Philippines is earthquake. Just recently, they have again recorded an earthquake here. Our location in the Earth explains the occurrence of earthquake and other calamities. Philippines is just one of the archipelagoes that is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Pacific Ring of Fire is a place where it has a lot of volcanoes and it is where earthquakes mostly occur. As I’ve said Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire that’s why we have an enormous amount of volcanoes we also have a lot of fault lines that’s why we experienced quite a lot of earthquake yearly. Just like last summer we experienced an earthquake and it killed a lot of individuals. This earthquake also led to theories that the “Big One” will occur any time soon. We conduct National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill to educate and

A Letter to the Current President of the Philippines

I address my full support to your some of your best projects. First, the Free Tuition Fee Law, this projects has helped a lot of Filipinos who have financial problems. I also heard that you made a battle ship in case we are colonized by the Chines. However, I condemn your behavior during conferences, or during your speeches, the way you joke about rape is a BIG NO, also the way you always cuss is not a characteristic of a president. I don’t support the Oplan-Tokhang and the Extra Judicial Killing a lot of innocent people lost their lives even before hearing their side. The other victims of the Extra Judicial Killing have not yet received the justice they deserve. I partially support, Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Act, because government workers don’t pay tax, but the negative side is the inflation rapidly rise. The goods that were supposedly low cost became high cost. Also I want Death Penalty for rape case to happen. I also like that all the cat-call victims

Celebrating our 121 years of Freedom

Celebrating our 121 years of Freedom             On June 12, 2019 we will celebrate the 121 st celebrati on of our independence. It is the time to celebrate our independence from the Spaniards and to honor the greatness of our heroes. On June 12, 1898, our former president Emilio Aguinaldo declared our independence from the Spaniards. Our flag which was designed by Emilio Aguinaldo, himself was formally shown during the declaration of our independence in Kawit, Cavite. The flag has three colors, 3 stars, and a sun the meaning of the clors red is our courage, the blue color means that Filipinos prefer to die than be invaded by foreign people, the color white means that we know how to lead ourselves. The three star, is the three main island of our country- Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. There are eight provinces that started the revolution namely, Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna and Batangas which is represented by the eight rays of the sun in our flag.
