Taunang Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika


                 Sa  panahong ito ay masyado na tayong naiimpluwensiyahan ng ibang bansa kaya tayo ay tumatangngkilik na sa ibang mga  kultura at wika. Tayo ay nagiging banyaga na sa ating sariling bansa. Hindi naman masama ang tumangkilik ng ibang kultura ngunit huwag nating kalimutan at maging dayuhan tayo sa atting bansa. Sabi nga nila lahat ng sobra ay nakakasama.
                Ang tema ng buwan ng wika sa taong ito ay, “Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino.” Layunin nito na palawakin ang kamalayn ng bawat Filipino tungkol sa iba’t-ibang katutubong wika na nasa Pilipinas. Ang tema ay itinaon dahil itinalaga ng UNESCO na ngayong 2019 ang International Year of Indigenous Language.
              
  Ang logo ng Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino sa taong ito ay pinangalan nilang “sarikulay” dahil sa sari-sari nitong kulay na sumisimbolo sa iba’t-ibang kultura at wika na meron ang mga mamamayang Filipino. Sa gitna ng sarikulay  ay may baybayin na “ka” na siyang unang letra sa Komisyon  ng Wikang Filipino.
                Ayon sa KWF, mayroong 130 katutubong wika na kailangang pagyamanin at alagaan ang bansang Pilipinas. Mayroong 8 pangunahing wika sa Pilipinas. Ito ay Bikolano, Bisaya, Hiligaynon, Pangasinense, Kapampangan, Waray, Tagalog, at Ilokano.
                Maraming kakaiba at magagandang kultura pa ang ating puwedeng makilala at mapag-aaralan sa susunod na taon. Marami rin tayong maipapakilala para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Celebrating our 121 years of Freedom             On June 12, 2019 we will celebrate the 121 st celebrati on of our independence. It is the time to celebrate our independence from the Spaniards and to honor the greatness of our heroes. Vigan's Fiesta is Fun!

          Vigan City Fiesta is held every 25th of January. They say that it is celebrated during the feast day of St. Paul the Apostle's conversion. St. Paul is Vigan City's patron saint. The main church of Vigan, Metropolitan Churh is dedicated to the patron saint.             This Fiesta is usually celebrated for a couple days  because there are a lot of activities. the people that lives in Vigan, called Bigueños participates at the events or activities. There are also a lot of people from the neighbouring places that comes just to see the beauty of this fiesta and also have fun. I have also seen some foreigners coming , I assume their gonna watch the fiesta. I also want to say that they have food fairs, arts and crafts.              Longganisa Festival is also celebrated within this fiesta. "Pandemic ka Lang, I Am Filipino"

     The cases of CoVid-19 has gotten worse ever since its first cases here, in the Philippines. A lot of our countrymen has lost their jobs, families and a lot more. But there are also things that stayed within us, its our ' bayanihan'  or simply helping each other out in time of need. Our resiliency that somehow doesn't budge.      In the month of January, every single one of us has been informed that there was an outbreak that happened in Wuhan, China. In fact, there was one confirmed case already but we didn't really act fast enough. I am not blaming anyone I just think that we could've done better or more. The CoVid cases spread faster than you could imagine. March rolls around and almost every country was in lockdown. Everyone has stopped going to their schools and jobs (except of course our front liners). Everyone was asked to wear a mask, wear a face shield, sanitize, and to minimize gatherings.
